​The goal to integrate technology into the Pigotts Primary School reading programme came into sharp focus recently when Team RUBIS provided a 40” television to enhance the school’s digital capabilities.

The donation reflects RUBIS’ commitment to supporting education, sports, and health. Recognizing that not every need can be met digitally, the contribution to the school in St. John’s, Antigua, also included two wheelbarrows to assist the grounds team with the upkeep of the facilities.

RUBIS Accounts Executive Curtis Francis said the company was pleased to meet the diverse needs of the school and its students.

​“We are comforted that the television will certainly enhance the reading program, using technology to improve the students’ literacy. Additionally, I have already seen the excitement of the ground staff, who are ready to put the wheelbarrows to work. As a good corporate citizen, RUBIS always seeks opportunities to support education, sports and health, and today’s donation emphasises this commitment to our nation.”

School Principal, Shara Quinn expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the kind gesture.

“Your contribution has significantly lessened the workload of our groundsmen, particularly in transporting heavy objects around the plant. Additionally, the television will enhance our efforts to integrate technology into our reading programme, helping to improve the literacy skills of our students.”
