Prime Minister Gaston Browne addressed the growing concerns surrounding his frequent use of social media platforms as a means of public communication.

Known for his active presence on these platforms, particularly Facebook, Prime Minister Browne utilizes this digital space not only to disseminate positive news regarding his administration’s achievements but also to respond directly to criticism.

His engagement has sparked a mixed reaction; while some citizens appreciate his direct approach, others have expressed concern about his tendency to retaliate against individuals making derogatory statements about him.

Critics argue that such interactions may distract from more significant issues and that, as a leader, he should refrain from engaging in public discord.

During a recent statement, Browne emphasized the necessity of direct engagement with citizens in today’s rapidly evolving digital environment.

He highlighted how social media plays a crucial role in enhancing transparency between the government and the populace.

In acknowledging the challenges posed by these platforms, such as the spread of misinformation and the difficulty in maintaining a respectful discourse, he asserted that the advantages of engaging with constituents through social media far exceed its potential drawbacks.

The Prime Minister also noted that social media offers a vital channel for connecting with younger demographics who are more active online.

This demographic, often characterized by their engagement with digital content, represents a critical audience for fostering awareness and participation in government initiatives, according to him.

This is the difference between Gaston Browne and the rest or the leaders. He meets his people on their levels. His love for social media has more to do with reaching and interacting with his country than anything else. This is where the young people can meet him and cuss him or show love to him. Either way it is good stuff. We like the idea we can get an immediate response from our prime minister. Not many of us are fortunate to walk into his office and sit and roll a joint with him. But we can talk to him on social media. Very down to earth leader. This is who we love.

One long dutty chupzzzz. We want him to address the disrespect in his Facebook comments. Those actions were uncalled for and should never be the actions of a Prime Minister, a leader of twin island states

Everytime I see this man I blush. lol. A very down to earth man in my opinion, Gaston engages with his citizens and followers on Facebook and even answer the questions of some. Being a Nations Leader, doesn’t mean you must be stock up and yeah, cause yall will talk about that. But this man there, lol, he don’t care. He sees himself on the same level as his people and that’s one thing I like most about him. lol. Mr. Handsome Prime Minster.

Rochelle, Please be reminded that this man is a married man, flirting with him might just get you sued. Anyway, while I rate the way this man would engage with his native people on the media. I will forever go against his recent actions. But anyway as much as I spread hate to him, there is no other leader that could handle this country like him and that’s me speaking of the opposition who can’t even help themselves. So till Rawdon take his roll next year, Gaston is the only true and real leader here. Down to earth man I can say. Just real in my opinion. Yes Antigua Surf said something nice about Gaston. and ROCHELLE, He’s a married man.
