  1. Good Lord! It’s like we have to hear about this kinda thing every week. Sorry to hear about this youngster. Really sad. Hope the wounds would not be fatal.

  2. You know sometimes we read or hear of these incidents and as humans we are quick to blame the young ones involved, their parents, or the government of the day for their behavior…. but then again, it’s not only happening in Antigua. It’s happening all over the Caribbean, the world. This is a global problem that needs to be addressed internationally. The music they listen to, the freedom of social media, peer pressure, social influencers are all to be blamed for what’s going on with our youths today. There’s way too much anger

  3. When I read of the governments amnesty, I wondered why it was restricted to guns as stabbings are at an all time high too!

Which teenager growing up has not had a fight or 2, but to take scissors or a knife to stab someone is awful, although the perpetrators will say it’s to defend themselves in case they are attacked.

May God have mercy on Antigua and Barbuda, and on persons who are doing what they think is right in their own eyes! Jesus soon come!

  5. Wait. The time this was posted means this happen just around late night. so, I thought there was a curfew in place? I have never known of this being in place, i see the 40% was ackowledged faster than this. These teens are like the future of prison. Instead of walking away they revert to violence. Stabbing another doesn’t mean you get the last lick or w.e, you just put yourself in problems and make your records bad

  7. I hope this young man is okay. That’s why i’m thankful my boys don’t leave the house. Cause this mess is beyond me, why these kids always have to choose violence over peace? Nothing is wrong with walking away and saing your self and your reputation. Violence doesn’t make you bad.

  8. This is what happen when young boys either don’t have their fathers in their life or their fathers are just as bad as them. I mean why violence is always the answer. Boys need that love and training from ttheir father so they grow up off the streets and knowledgable. Men these days feel that without their fathers presence they are nothing and they go through life proving it. Someway we need to up the streets of violent young men.

  9. I pray to the day i get up and see that the world is back in the beginning. Lately, violence, murder and robbery has been too much for this nation. Bring us back to when we didn’t have to fear a thing.

  10. Listen I am so sick and tired of this youth violence always making headlines. It’s almost like you cannot catch a break in Antigua. It’s frustrating that instead of finding ways to build each other up, young people are resorting to such drastic measures. Stabbing someone with a scissors? What happened to resolving conflicts through conversation? We need to do better for our youth and teach them that violence is never the answer. This cycle has to stop; it shouldn’t be normal for teens to fear for their safety in their own communities.
