The Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation, and Investment, in collaboration with the Antigua Department of Immigration and the Antigua and Barbuda Customs and Excise Division, has officially launched ArriveAntigua.com.
This modern Arrival and Departure System aims to enhance the travel experience for those arriving and departing from V.C. Bird International Airport.
Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Transportation, The Honorable Charles Fernandez, expressed the government’s commitment to improving visitor experiences.
In an article published in Global Travel Industry News, he said the launch of ArriveAntigua.com is a major step in creating a seamless experience from the moment visitors arrive.
He said they also spend less time in the terminal and more time enjoying our 365 stunning beaches.
The new electronic system promises significant advancements in convenience and efficiency for travelers.
Key features include a simple, dynamic interface that requires no app download, allowing users to easily complete an online form on mobile or tablet devices.
The system also incorporates automatic passport scanning; visitors can simply take a photo of their passport to auto-populate personal details, making processing quicker and easier.
Additionally, travelers will complete a brief questionnaire covering their stay and customs declarations within 72 hours of their scheduled flight.
Once completed, they will receive a QR code that can be saved or emailed. This QR code expedites processing at Immigration and Customs, ensuring faster entry and exit from the country.
Travelers heading to Antigua and Barbuda are encouraged to utilize ArriveAntigua.com to enhance their arrival and departure experience.
Looking ahead, officials have announced plans to expand the system to include seaport arrivals and private jet passengers at Fixed Base Operators (FBO) across the islands.
Excellent. Well done my government. Good job 👍👍👍👍👍💯
