Symbolism matters, but let’s also make sure regional cooperation leads to more than condolences. Whether it’s safety reforms, cultural exchanges, or crisis response, moments like this should inspire more proactive partnerships across the region. While I sometimes question how our Ministry of Foreign Affairs operates, I can’t criticize this. Offering condolences in person shows respect and maturity on the global stage. Well done, Ambassador Pilgrim.

Tragedy knows no borders and it’s comforting to see our leaders standing in strong with our neighboring countries. Diplomatic moments like these may appear small to our eyes but they often build strong regional ties as the time passes.

Times like these should be a reminder that we are all connected. Whether in tourism, trade or tragedy. The Caribbean is a melting pot and once we stand together we will be stronger

Totally agree. I am hoping that she is not playing a part in getting a minimal sentence for her country woman. Justice for Chantel
