Recruitment is already underway at Moon Gate Hotel & Spa which is set to create significant jobs for the Antiguan community. The luxury boutique hotel comprises 71 suites set across nine buildings, each one offering stunning beach views, with an additional seven two-bedroom villas with scenic, green hillside views.
Headed by Antiguan developers Gaye Hechme and Cameron Fraser, both deeply passionate about their island home, the eco-conscious all-inclusive places wellness and sustainability at the heart of its operations.
With its signature ‘Gracious Hospitality’ philosophy, Moon Gate heralds a new era in the hotel industry. The team has carefully crafted a community-minded space where guests can relax, enjoy an authentic Antiguan experience and make meaningful connections.

“We want genuine connectivity with our guests and our community,” Ms Hechme explained. “This is a special place where they will be taken care of, where they can come and stay, and leave rejuvenated.”
In sync with that ethos, Moon Gate enjoys strong links with local artisans, producers and suppliers, exemplified in everything from the food served to the paintings adorning its inviting surrounds.
“It was important to us that the entire development was sustainably designed and in harmony with its environment,” Mr Fraser said.
“We believe in developing our community above all else, and we are proud to support initiatives that uplift the spirit, fuel shared prosperity, and promote environmental sustainability,” he added.

The resort will feature an à la carte restaurant, plant-based café, swimming pools, gym, and a deeply meditative spa.
Real human connections that embody the simple pleasure of being genuinely hosted will be the thread that runs through each of its endeavours.
Finding the right team members to extend that level of care is key, Ms Hechme said.
“We are looking for passionate team members who embody traditional Caribbean warmth and invite appreciation for our culture and heritage. They will be highly professional yet personable, and empathetic to our guests’ needs. In exchange, our team will have the opportunity to grow and flourish, both personally and professionally,” she added.

Moon Gate takes its name from a circular architectural feature that has its roots in ancient China. It is said to offer an auspicious welcome and good fortune to all those who pass through.

IS IT ALL INCLUSIVE?
Lovely well done Mr. Fraser.
All well and good, but let’s make sure this isn’t another resort where locals only get cleaning jobs and can’t afford a drink at the bar.
Hope Half Moon Bay doesn’t end up overdeveloped or cut off from locals. Our beaches are for all of us
Hopefully it’s reasonable enough so locals can enjoy too
