A well-known tattoo artist and influencer, Oszie Kelvin Russell, commonly known as “Mongoose,” has been remanded to prison after admitting to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Russell, 40, of Lightfoot, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this morning and was ordered to remain in custody until tomorrow when his sentencing will take place.
According to police reports, members of the Criminal Investigation Department Task Force executed a search warrant at Russell’s residence at approximately 6:55 am on Tuesday, April 22. During the search, officers discovered a Glock 80 Pistol with 10 matching rounds of ammunition, along with a firearm compressor in his possession.
Following the discovery, Russell was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of the weapon and ammunition.
Sigh 😕 Sometimes it’s just sad because we need protection …the police isn’t protecting us …..we can’t get a licensed fire arm because a gun license alone cost a car money. It’s just sad
