Six months? A guy stayed prison until he died for a cellphone and just 6 months for breaking into a supermarket and stealing valuables?

Six months feels light, but at least justice was swift. Hopefully they use the time to reflect and come out with better intentions.

Glad to see law enforcement acted quickly. Businesses need to feel secure, especially small ones like TINY Supermarket.

We have to ask why two young men risked so much for so little. Society needs to dig deeper into why people are turning to crime.

Not even one food item stolen which means it’s not out of a basic need. We keep talking about medicinal needs for things used with these stolen items, however we overlook the many social problems created by it. I can almost bet my life that those who really benefit from supplying the items used with the stolen goods do not use it.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t face consequences, but I hope this isn’t the end of their story. Jail has no proper surveillance and just like Chinlee they may just be the next
