A 46-year-old man named Anton Andrewin died following an attack by a pig while he was attempting to protect his plants in Gales Point, Belize.

The pig, which had become wild after its owner moved away earlier in the year, turned aggressive, causing a severe leg injury that led to Andrewin’s death after being hospitalized

Investigations are underway, and police are looking into whether the pig’s owner is in breach of any laws regarding animal control.

Andrewin’s wife, Michelle, noted that this was not the first time the pig had been aggressive towards her husband.

In response to the incident, local officials are urging pet owners to keep their animals contained to prevent such incidents.
