Acting Police Commissioner Everton Jeffers has appealed to the community for patience as authorities continue their investigation into the tragic case of Chantel Crump.
Following an autopsy performed on April 4, initial findings were deemed inconclusive, prompting the need for further analyses to fully determine the cause of her untimely death.
Commissioner Jeffers said at a press conference on Wednesday that the ongoing investigation will include additional tests, notably a comprehensive toxicology report, which aims to shed light on any substances that may have contributed to the circumstances surrounding Crump’s death.
He emphasized the importance of gathering all pertinent information to ensure a thorough and accurate understanding of the situation.
“Further forensic samples were collected and have been prepared to be sent overseas for advanced toxicology and laboratory tests”, he said
In his statement, Jeffers reassured the public that the police department is fully committed to this case and is implementing all necessary measures to obtain definitive answers.
He urged community members to remain calm and patient during this challenging time, reminding them that the investigation is a priority for law enforcement and that updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
“I know the public’s interest in this particular matter and what we are doing is that we are appealing to the public to be patient. Allow the investigations to run its course” he said

The RELEVANT PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS And OTHER TESTS (If Needed) MUST Be Carried Out in order To Determine (if possible) the State of Mind which Can Exist to Carry Out Whatever was done to Shantel Crump that (as a Result) it extremely difficult to determine the CAUSE Of Her Death. THIS for me is EXTREMELY TROUBLING AND FRIGHTENING……
My ONLY Comfort (and I am SURE This is also THE MAIN SOURCE OF COMFORT for Chantel’s Parents and Other Family Members) is that OUR LITTLE CHANTEL IS NOW SAFE IN THE ARMS OF HER LOVING GOD & SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST!!!
