From this video? It’s sad that we can’t even trust our own country! I mean, people are afraid of the police and of the citizens. Guys it’s time we put away these illegal firearms

Interesting but rather true views of the public. Really and truly it’s the port of entry, we need to know how these guns are getting into the country and into the streets. And yes, an amnesty won’t just end it all. There are many guns out there. In my opinion there’s no purpose of the amnesty. I mean look at the past few days. What has the news show?

“With gun crimes taking center stage, the institutions that have been set up to protect the citizens of the country are increasingly scrutinized. Amidst leadership changes, positive reports, and good faith, these institutions still seem to enjoy a collective benefit of the doubt. However, it is worth noting that public trust correlates with good reputation. Will these law enforcement entities enjoy enough credibility to engage the public on such an intimate level? Will anyone reach for the carrot, if they doubt the intentions of the one holding the stick? With peace and lives in the balance, the outcome still remains to be seen.”

This is great journalism guys, never seen that in Antigua 🙌🏿

Raw undiluted facts. Amnesty is not going to take guns off the streets. A drop in the bucket maybe, but the real gangsters are going to keep what they have. It’s like giving up the tools of your trade. Violence are some people way of life killing, robberies, raping etc., and guns are the tools of their trade. Sadly so… Wonderful article

We don’t need amnesty… We need more guns in the hands of the citizens .
Any people that are denied the right to bear arms become victims of those who have….
    Let us protect ourselves.
    Issue more licences!
