The Leadership and Executive of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party are deeply saddened to report an unfortunate incident that occurred during the Labour Day 2025 Parade en route to Fort James.

Tragically, this incident has resulted in the death of an individual, whose identity is being withheld at this time until family members have been notified..

The Royal Police Force is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident, and we encourage anyone with information that may assist in the investigation to come forward.

As we participate in the Labour Day celebrations, we urge all attendees to prioritize safety and exercise caution.

It is imperative that everyone contributes to creating a secure environment for all participants.

Once the family and loved ones of the deceased have been informed, we will ensure that we reach out to offer our support during this incredibly difficult time.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
