In the wake of the tragic deaths of Adrianna Younge and Chantel Crump, there has been a consistent and unrelenting cry for justice throughout the Caribbean region. These two innocent young girls certainly deserve to be the recipients of justice – if ever anyone did. But what is justice? Is it worth questioning, or are we justified in our pursuit of whatever form of justice that we see fit?

We at Antigua.news, with the help of residents on the street, sought to examine this all-important principle.

I strongly agree on vigilante justice! We live in times where police and the system fails us. No matter how much we come forward all we get are pushed back dates and news. It’s about time we take matter into our own hands. It’s about time we make these people feel the pain family feels. Look at Angela how she sits in prison just lying and eating the populations 17% taxi. She’s happy, she’s alive and Chantel’s family is sad, while Chantel lay in a morgue dead! What did the system do for Chantel n her family? Just pushed Angela court date to June 4th? Come one. The family of Adrianna took matters into their own hands and now the investigation is very much speeding up. All Antiguans did was settle for ‘Inconclusive’ and the voice of Everton Jeffers.

Vigilante Justice? I don’t agree. Yes the police is always taking long in bringing us justice, even the information that i think the public deserves. But its better to sit and wait! Taking matters into your own hand does not make sense and it will never bring you the real thing. Just stir more unsolved problems

When the writer said ” take justice into our own hands I think he meant being more forceful assertive with our actions

Same. Justice must prevail. When will the truth cause of death come out for both girls?

Who will the justice be meted out on anyway? Chantel’s abductor sits in prison-notice I said abductor-because she’s not in this alone.I pray people are not entertaining the thought of doing harm to her family members-that would not be right at all.. In such incidences-where it all seems senseless- real justice will be given by God..

I agree real justice will be given by God. But in the meantime God also said a life for a hand for a hand. In situations such as these that law should apply
