Jeconiah Carbon Sentenced to 10 Years for Attempted Murder of Gay Man

Jeconiah Carbon

Jeconiah Carbon was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment today for attempted murder stemming from a 2020 incident involving a homosexual man.

In February, a jury delivered a guilty verdict following a week-long trial that examined Carbon’s violent attack on a man whom he had lured to the beach with promises of a sexual encounter.

Evidence presented during the trial revealed a complex two-year relationship between the men, beginning in 2018. Their social media communications showed Carbon, who was 19 at the time of the incident, repeatedly seeking favours from the victim, including requests for an iPhone.

Prosecutors established that one of the very few requests granted by the victim was a $100 loan that Carbon could not repay. Carbon subsequently agreed to have sexual intercourse with the complainant, but when they met, he used a knife to inflict injuries to the victim’s neck and body.

Defence attorney Michael Archibald argued unsuccessfully that his client’s actions were prompted by feelings of coercion when attempting to withdraw consent. Despite these claims, the jury sided with the prosecution’s account of premeditated violence.

  1. If you had agreed to have sexual intercourse, then why take a knife with you? You should go, enjoy yourself, wipe off, and go home pretending it never happened. Or you should not have shown up at the location. Humans must use their brains 🧠 wisely when making any decisions, especially severe ones. When we have evil thoughts, we take them to God. All evil thoughts come from the pit of hell. Try not to act on these evil thoughts because they have consequences.

  7. I know Jeconiah Carbon personally and I am not surprised at all by his actions. Always have antiman ways. Luring someone under false pretenses and then attacking them is just despicable. But as I say I know MR. Let this be a reminder of how dangerous some individuals can be.

  8. Ten years in prison is a step towards justice, but it’s heartbreaking that someone had to endure such a violent experience. We need to continue promoting understanding and respect for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation. Violence is never the answer.
