On May 19, 2025, a group of Saint Lucian exporters visited His Excellency Ambassador Clarence E. Pilgrim while attending the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) annual event in Antigua and Barbuda.
This meeting was part of the 2025 OECS Trade Mission aimed at enhancing regional commercial connections and increasing the visibility of OECS products and services across various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, and health and wellness.
Ambassador Pilgrim graciously welcomed the delegation, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation. “Building stronger trade relationships with our neighboring islands is crucial. These interactions create opportunities, facilitate resource sharing, and foster mutual growth, all vital for our region’s sustainable development,” he remarked.
Joining the meeting was Senior Trade Policy Analyst Jomica Carbon, who viewed the visit as a significant moment for trade progress and policy dialogue. “Collaboration like this is essential not just for business growth but also for promoting innovation and deeper integration across the OECS,” she stated.
The delegation plans to engage in further networking, site visits, and meetings with stakeholders while in Antigua and Barbuda, as they look for potential trade and partnership opportunities within the region.

It is always good when our fellow neighbors can come and exchange their culture with us. Just got to love the Caribbean ppl!
