A new era of local brewing has arrived in Antigua with the launch of Long Bay Lager.
Long Bay Brewing has begun distributing its flagship lager across the island, with the beer now available in retail locations. The company is offering the product in both six-packs and full cases for consumers eager to try the new local option.
The brewery is promoting its product as having “Gold, Crisp and Smooth Refreshing Goodness” and has organized pop-up events to introduce the beer to the market.
Long Bay Brewing’s product line extends beyond the lager to include a stout and an India Pale Ale (IPA), providing variety for different beer preferences.
The launch comes at a time when Antigua has been without significant local beer production. Wadadli beer, which was previously considered the national beer of Antigua, was produced by Antigua Brewery until operations ceased.
The former Wadadli Brewery facility, located at Crabbes Peninsula, has remained idle for many years, leaving a gap in local beer production that Long Bay Brewing now aims to fill.
It’s probably going to taste like rusty pipe water and smell like dirty downtown St. Johns…. Ha Ha
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH This definitely cracked me up. have some faith. I dont believe they would rely on APUA pipe water for such mas-production.
This is really interesting. Not a beer guy. But this is good.
Would love to taste this. I’m a beer lover. Banks Barbados. Kubuli Dominica. Waddling Antigua. I mean my beer belly should show you lol
Let me see how it last
a beer is a beer is a beer…give me a real cold Carib any day
