St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — The Minister of Education, Daryl Matthew, met with officials from the National Training Agency (NTA) to explore key areas for enhancing certification, accreditation, and institutional development within the technical and vocational education sector.
The meeting placed special focus on institutions such as the Harrison Center (ABICE) and the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS), with discussions aimed at strengthening the national framework for qualifications and aligning programs with regional and international standards.
Improving the quality and recognition of technical education continues to be a priority, as the Ministry seeks to equip graduates with credentials that are industry-relevant and widely accepted across various sectors.
The NTA highlighted current efforts to improve quality assurance systems, expand accreditation pathways, and foster stronger collaboration between training institutions and the labor market.
