Two men are now in police custody following a violent robbery in the Perry Bay area on Monday morning that left a Bolans resident nursing stab wounds.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. while the victim was walking in the Tinning Village area. He was reportedly attacked by the two suspects, who robbed him of a grey knapsack containing a mobile phone and EC$100.

An altercation ensued during the robbery, during which the victim was stabbed. He was later taken for medical treatment and is currently receiving care.

The suspects were later confronted by police officers. During the encounter, one of the men, identified as Tristan Armstrong, was shot twice by law enforcement and is also undergoing medical treatment. Both men were subsequently apprehended as investigations continue.

This incident adds to a string of serious crimes that police have been responding to in recent days. Over the weekend, law enforcement also dealt with a shooting on Lovelace Road in Grays Farm and the discovery of a murder victim’s body in Bendals.
