Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service to host the Second Annual National Climate Outlook Forum (picture by ABMS)

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, May 27, 2025 – The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service (ABMS), with funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Build Project, will host the Second Annual National Climate Outlook Forum (NCOF) on Thursday, 29 May 2025 at the Trade Winds Hotel in Saint John’s. The forum will be streamed live via the ABMS YouTube channel (@abmetservice), providing broader access to the presentations and discussions.
Held under the theme “Partnering to Close the Early Warning Gap Through Climate Services,” this year’s forum will bring together meteorologists, climatologists, researchers, agriculturalists, utility managers, disaster risk experts, planners and key stakeholders from across climate-sensitive sectors: agriculture, energy, tourism, health, water resources management and disaster risk reduction. The goal is to strengthen collaboration and enhance the country’s capacity to deliver timely, reliable and actionable climate information and early warnings.

By bringing together key stakeholders once again, we aim to deepen collaboration, improve the use of climate information, and strengthen our national response to the growing challenges of climate change.”
The NCOF serves as a national platform to present and discuss the upcoming seasonal climate outlooks, assess sectoral needs and co-develop tailored climate services to better support decision-making, disaster risk reduction and climate resilience.
This important initiative aligns with global efforts under the United Nation’s Early Warning for All Initiative and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Global Framework for Climate Services Programme at the national level and reflects Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to improving the accessibility and effectiveness of climate services at all levels of society.

Apex the issue is that Dale dont llow the staff to walk over him and they dont like him for that.
