Two Nationals of Antigua and Barbuda Honoured with Prestigious King’s Birthday Honours for Service and Philanthropy

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — [June 13, 2025] — The Government of Antigua and Barbuda proudly announces that Mr. Cordel Eden Alexander Josiah and Mr. Daniel Harrison have been formally recognised by His Majesty King Charles III in the 2025 Birthday Honours for their exceptional service and contributions to the nation and the wider Commonwealth.

Mr. Cordel Josiah has been awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) for his outstanding contributions to public administration and community development. With a career spanning decades in the public service, Mr. Josiah has played a pivotal role in strengthening institutional governance and community engagement in Antigua and Barbuda.

Mr. Daniel Harrison has been awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in recognition of his unwavering commitment to philanthropy. Through years of charitable work both locally and across the Commonwealth, Mr. Harrison has significantly impacted health, education, and youth empowerment initiatives, leaving a lasting legacy of generosity and civic responsibility.

Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne commended both honourees for their exemplary service, noting that their recognition is not only a personal achievement but a reflection of the values and potential of the people of Antigua and Barbuda. “These awards underscore the global impact of Antiguans and Barbudans who dedicate their lives to public good. On behalf of the nation, I extend heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Josiah and Mr. Harrison for their well-deserved honours.”
