PRESS RELEASE

Wayne Thomas, also known as “Bubbler,” of Buckleys, who was wanted by police in connection with an ongoing investigation, has surrendered.

The 30-year-old suspect turned himself in at St. John’s Police Station around 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, 18 June, accompanied by his attorney.

A wanted bulletin was previously issued for Thomas, as police sought to question him in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in Freetown on Monday, 16 June.

The Police Administration wishes to thank the general public for their cooperation and continued support. The police remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors and encourage anyone with information related to this case or other criminal activities to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
