Police Report Fatal Road Accident on Sir Sidney Walling Highway

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Sunday, 22 June 2025

The police have launched an investigation into a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, along the Sir Sidney Walling Highway in the vicinity of the North Sound Bridge.

Initial reports indicate that a vehicle ran off the road and plunged into the water near the bridge. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found a 44-year-old male unresponsive inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at 9:07 a.m.

Other occupants of the vehicle are currently receiving medical attention.

Police are still at the scene carrying out further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is asked to contact the Parham Police Station at 463-2060.

Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
