The Public Accounts Committee is set to hold a meeting today at the Parliament Chambers, with Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle presiding over the proceedings.

Pringle says the committee will focus on the audited financial statements for the year 2020, the most recent statement available.

He anticipates that substantial questions will be raised about the details in these statements, leading to a lively discussion.

Joining Pringle is Trevor Walker, the Parliamentary Representative from Barbuda, who is also a member of the committee.

On the government’s side, the meeting will include Melford Nicholas, the representative for St. John’s City East, Daryll Matthew from St. John’s Rural South, and Anthony Smith Jnr. from All Saints West, who aligns with the government.

The Public Accounts Committee is empowered to scrutinize government spending, and it is led by the Opposition Leader.

    • They were never kicked out. They just did not have permission to hold a meeting the last time

  4. We’re in 2025 and still reviewing 2020 financial statements? That delay alone deserves a separate audit. Transparency delayed is transparency denied.
