Trinidad and Tobago Police Commissioner Requests Investigative Reports on Use of Police Vehicle for Graduation Transport

Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro has called for formal reports following the emergence of a video on social media that depicts a marked police vehicle being used to transport a female student to her graduation ceremony.

In his statement, the Commissioner confirmed that prompt checks were carried out, establishing that the vehicle belongs to the jurisdiction of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, South/Central.

Guevarro has directed that thorough reports regarding the incident be submitted to him. He emphasized the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s (TTPS) commitment to accountability and transparency, stating, “As these reports are being compiled, I wish to assure the public that we are dedicated to professionalism in law enforcement. I ask for patience and discretion from the public as the investigation unfolds.”

The Commissioner assured the community that updates will be provided once the details have been clarified.
