Antigua and Barbuda lit up with laughter and excitement this week as popular Trinidadian TikTok influencer Certified Sampson arrived on island, bringing his trademark humor, infectious energy, and Caribbean pride just in time for the height of Carnival season.

With over 1.2 million followers across social media platforms, Certified Sampson, whose real name is Jamel Sampson, has become one of the Caribbean’s most recognizable digital entertainers. Known for his comedic skits, relatable island content, and unapologetic Caribbean identity, Sampson’s visit to Antigua has stirred buzz among fans and content creators alike.
Oh? I don’t know if to say Antigua is in the hall of fame or Antigua is the hall of fame!! I hope some of our influencers here gets the opportunity to meet him

Dear Antigua.news while we encourage the celebration and support of our regional celebrities I can’t help but ponder on a few things.
1. The death of Malcom Jamal Warner better known to a generation(s) as ‘Theo Huxable’ from the Cosby Show was not carried by this news portal. He was an exemplary figure on TV as he portrayed young black male excellence on and off the screen. A generation (s)has lost a ‘ big brother’.
Although it’s late I still hope to see an article written about him .
2. The most recent PAC ( public accounts Committee) meeting in Parliament was not reported on. I decided to give you guys some time but it was never reported. It is this same portal that will carry letters to the editor or editorial pieces that the Opposition Leader needs to do better as it relates to PAC of which he is the chair, now that something is being done there is no report on it. Do better please .
