Sagicor Insurance Reinforces Security: No More Carnival Fiascos!

Sagicor Insurance seems determined to avoid a repeat of last year’s carnival fiasco.

After revelers turned their fence into a casual meet-and-greet spot, the company ended up picking up the tab for the repairs. This year, they’re not taking any chances.

At yesterday’s T-shirt mass, the fence was not just a fence but a fortress, complete with heavy security. It looks like they’re taking their “fence” of safety very seriously—no more shattered barriers for them!

  2. 🤔Wait, are those Defense Force soldiers? If so, then how are they allowed to use the military for a non-public assignment? If not, it is somewhat confusing, because I thought only the military was allowed to wear camouflage?🤷

  4. Well, honestly. There is no need to party for carnival and destroy the people fence. That behavior is totally uncalled for.
I agree with them to protect their property by any means necessary.

It is likely to be cheaper to hire security for a day than to rebuild or replace the fence. Just a smart business decision.

My fellow Antiguans, we can have fun without destroying other people’s property.

Come on guys, let’s do better.

Would you want someone to destroy your property?

    Stay blessed

  5. This is a reassuring move by Sagicor! Carnival is a time of celebration, but it also brings increased risks. It’s great to see a major insurer taking proactive steps to reinforce security for their clients and operations.

  6. Common sense guys. I believe is the festival commission who organised the security to avoid a law suit because of dumb and stupid revellers who could have been individually charged last year for malicious damage. We need to be more responsible as revellers and organisers regardless of the measures property owners employ to protect their property.
