Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister, Gaston Browne, expressed his optimism regarding the future of relations between Africa and the Caribbean.
Browne, who was speaking to CNBC Africa on the sidelines of the Africa-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum held in Grenada, says there are great opportunities for unlocking strategic partnerships and enhancing trade and investment between the two regions.
He also mentioned ongoing discussions with the Dangote Group aimed at obtaining higher quality products at more competitive prices, which could help reduce the cost of living in the Caribbean.

Also, the PM needs to start looking towards manufacturing and improving agriculture.
What a force we would be if the Caribbean and Africa could forge something to the benefit of us all!!.
Looking to Africa for imports and investment is a smart, strategic move for Antigua and Barbuda. Diversifying our economic partners can bring much-needed affordable goods and new opportunities, reducing our reliance on traditional markets. This has real potential for our future.
It is really high time we look elsewhere for trade outside the US
