A revered name in funeral care has taken a bold step into the future. Barnes Funeral Home Ltd., a cornerstone of comfort for grieving families since 1928, has officially opened the doors to its newly constructed facility at Irwing Barnes Close, off American Road.

Founded by the late Mr. Irwing Barnes and continued by his son, the late Noel Barnes, the family-owned institution has long been recognized for its commitment to compassionate, dignified funeral services across Antigua and Barbuda.
Now under the stewardship of Jessica L. Barnes, Managing Funeral Director and third-generation leader, the business is reaffirming its mission to serve with grace and excellence.

With a legacy spanning nearly a century, Barnes Funeral Home remains the longest-standing funeral service provider in Antigua and Barbuda. The new facility, custom-built to offer a more tranquil and supportive environment, is designed to meet the needs of modern families while honouring longstanding traditions.

I guess that means the crise port development can progress without hindrance now
Rumors were going around that the funeral home was air-mark to be constructed east of the Old Fiennes Institution. I guess rumors had it wrong. This funeral home needs to do better with the dead… some of the bodies you can’t even recognize them the day of the funeral.
I don’t know where east but to my greatest knowledge it’s right at the back of the old Holberton Hospital. Kinda think that’s east of finnes
It’s great to hear Barnes Funeral Home has a new, modern facility. For families dealing with loss, a comfortable and respectful environment is so important. I hope this new space allows them to continue providing the compassionate service they are known for.
