  1. i MEAN REALLY AND TRUELY IS THIS EVEN PRACTICAL. $15,000 US is almost $45,000 EC. does the regular person have that kind of money just to travel to the US?
The good i see coming out of this is more regional travel. Go explore the other Caribbean islands, ever staycations can capitalize on that. But if your desire is to travel to a bigger country there is the UK, Canada, Europe, ect. There are other places to shop and visit besides America.
Back in the days we went SM and Trinidad and even Colombian to shop, these options still exist.

  3. I for one don’t understand this fascination with the US when there is a wholeeee beautiful world out there.

I think the US has nailed their own coffin shut. The world is moving away from them. Instead of building walls to keep people out, the opposite is happening…they are keeping themselves in.

    • What I see here is that the Caribbean government must have a meeting with the us government officials about the bond that the citizens have to put up, that it can be placed in a proper interest bearing account that pay a good rate so it become an investment that pay out to the visa holder st the end of visa life, or to be able to withdraw interest payments throughout the life of the bond.

  4. This bond is destined to put people in bandage. And who wants to remain in bandage can go ahead with that. The world has so many other places that are so much more beautiful than dirty America. Listen we need to go online and Google the most beautiful places in the world and it is not the US. Lol so many beautiful countries. Look at list in case you are too lazy to look. The Great Barrier Reef, Australia. …
    Machu Picchu, Peru. …
    Pamukkale, Turkey. …
Avenue of the Baobabs, Madagascar. …
Fiordland, South Island, New Zealand. …
    Bagan, Myanmar. …
Redwood National and State Parks, California, USA. …
    Okavango Delta, Botswana

  6. This is not the way forward.
Instead of creating such a punitive and exclusionary policy, the US government should be looking for better ways to manage immigration. There are more effective and humane solutions than putting up a financial wall that only the wealthy can afford to climb. This policy sends a very unwelcoming message to the world, and it will only serve to alienate people who have a legitimate desire to travel to the US. I hope this pilot program is a short-lived experiment and that a more sensible approach is adopted in the future.

  7. People must understand that Trump is a season that will pass soon. Its like a wave which will eventually subside. So toughen up abd ride the Trump wave until it passes away. In that case until he passes away…putting it simple…until he is no more.

  8. Fifteen thousand US dollars? That’s more than some people’s annual salary. This will stop a lot of families from visiting their loved ones in the States.

  9. It’s sad that genuine visitors will be punished because of a few who overstayed. There must be a better way to handle this.

  10. Trump Hush. Who wants to go to the US. LOL idiot. It’s quite amusing to see some of the decisions and statements coming from Trump. Whether it’s those unforgettable tweets or controversial policies, he certainly knows how to keep people talking—sometimes you just have to laugh at the absurdity of it all!
