Two Cedar Valley Residents Plead Guilty to Drug, Weapons Charges

Two Cedar Valley residents have pleaded guilty to drug and weapons charges after being arrested during a police operation earlier this week.

Mandella Spencer, 39, and Nyana Alfred, 23, were taken into custody Tuesday when the Criminal Investigations Department Task Force conducted a raid in the area.

The operation uncovered quantities of illegal substances and ammunition. Police seized 368.9 grams of cannabis, 0.2 grams of cocaine, and four .25 millimeter rounds of ammunition during the search.

Both defendants initially faced multiple charges, including unlawful possession of ammunition, drug possession, possession with intent to transfer, and cultivation of cannabis.

During their court appearance, Alfred pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and ammunition charges. Spencer entered guilty pleas to possession of cannabis and cannabis plants.

The court has remanded both individuals until Friday.
