Browne, who once earned the prestigious National CXC Gold Award, was described by his lecturers as a model student — not only for his academic record, which includes maintaining a GPA above 4.0, but also for his discipline and conduct.

The scholarship covers his full tuition, as well as first-year fees and a stipend for textbooks. In addition, he will complete an eight-week internship at ECAB in the final year of his program.

“I’m truly grateful to ECAB for giving me this opportunity,” Browne said. “This scholarship not only helps me but allows me to contribute to Antigua & Barbuda.”

At a small ceremony, ECAB unveiled a plaque at its Coolidge Branch to mark the achievement, bearing Browne’s name as the inaugural honouree. Future awardees will be added each year.
