Antigua's New Cruise Terminal Set to Launch Homeporting Operations for Arvia on November 15

Antigua Cruise Ports has announced that homeporting operations for the Arvia will officially begin on November 15 at the country’s new cruise terminal.

General Manager Gasper George made the disclosure on Monday during a media tour of the Upland Development Project, a $40 million investment designed to modernize Antigua and Barbuda’s cruise infrastructure.

Situated along Newgate Street in St. John’s, the new terminal forms a key part of the port’s landside redevelopment.

The facility will feature a main operating wing, bathrooms, an information centre, and a dedicated service road complete with a roundabout to accommodate passenger drop-offs and baggage screening.

Officials say the project not only enhances the efficiency of port operations but also positions Antigua as a premier homeporting destination in the Caribbean.

  8. Infrastructure like this is crucial, but I also hope the government looks at traffic flow in St. John’s, because cruise days already get crowded.
