Residents and motorists in the Cedar Valley area are being advised of a temporary road closure this weekend as the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) continues critical upgrade works on its water network.
According to the Water Business Unit, the section of Cedar Valley Main Road stretching from Cedar Valley Springs to the Golf Course will be closed to traffic from Saturday, September 6 to Sunday, September 7, 2025.
APUA said the disruption is necessary to facilitate ongoing installation works tied to the commissioning of the new 2 million imperial gallon Reverse Osmosis Plant at Shell Beach. Once operational, the plant is expected to significantly strengthen water production and improve distribution to communities along the northern corridor.
While acknowledging the inconvenience, APUA urged road users to exercise caution in the work zones and thanked the public for its patience. Officials noted that the upgrades are part of a wider push to modernize and stabilize the national water distribution network.

Hopefully detours are clearly marked to minimize inconvenience.
Please try your best to minimize disruptions
Thanks APUA a little inconvenience is worth it.
