APUA Reminds Public of Ongoing Waterworks Along Cedar Valley

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Water Business Unit has issued a reminder to residents and motorists that mainline installation works are continuing along Cedar Valley Main Road and Conference Drive, leading into the New Winthorpes area.

According to APUA, the project is part of its broader effort to improve water production and strengthen distribution across several communities. As a result, temporary road closures will be implemented at intervals throughout the works.

Officials acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the disruptions but emphasized that the upgrades are necessary to modernize the island’s water network.

“We are mindful of the inconvenience these activities may cause and wish to reassure the public that they are essential,” the authority stated. “We sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to enhance the water system.”

The works are expected to continue until the project is completed.
