Two female students of the Princess Margaret Secondary School were caught smoking marijuana in Gambles on their way to classes this morning.
The girls were reportedly seen hiding behind a tree opposite the Grays Christian Academy school. According to eyewitnesses, passersby attempted to caution the students, but their warnings went ignored.
Instead, the teenagers allegedly continued smoking until they had finished the marijuana before proceeding toward Princess Margaret Secondary School, which is located just a few blocks away.
The incident has sparked concern among residents, especially as it occurred in full view of a public space near another school. Some have questioned the growing accessibility of drugs to minors and are calling for greater monitoring and enforcement around school zones.

In public with no care in the world smh
waw snack before school eh
Forget math class, these two were already working on chemistry
The laws aren’t enforced, what do you expect? The curfew, out the window. Bicyclists on the road all hours after dark, no reflectors, lights, brakes or bells being a bloody nuisance to other road users. Police pass them straight.
Well, at least they didn’t cut class… just lit it up on the way there
As an established media house, the decision to publish this picture comes across as highly irresponsible. It is quite evident that the individuals shown are easily identifiable, and there is a strong likelihood that they are minors. While we recognize and appreciate the importance of reporting news, there is an equally important responsibility to protect the identities and rights of children and young people.
This matter could have been handled with greater care—for example, by blurring faces, withholding images, or reporting the facts without visual exposure. It is also important to remember that your platform is not limited to Antigua and Barbuda; it is accessible worldwide. This means that the potential harm to these young individuals extends far beyond our shores.
Responsible journalism requires balancing the public’s right to know with the duty of care owed to vulnerable groups. In this instance, that balance appears to have been overlooked.
You can’t even see their faces, calm down
The students did not care if were seen or they would not have done so in the view of the public. They should be punished, who are raising these children? Time will tell where they will end up! Good luck to them and may god bless them.
Chat gpt you use and write this
If it was two boys I would understand, but I personally don’t like to see girls smoke especially at that young age

What hypocrites.. how many OCS has been publicized in the media?
I never see tou commenting..
Its ok for some schools huh
Publish all a dem
The media should not be blamed for reporting the truth that’s their job. And let’s be real, you can’t even see the rebel girls face in the photo, so claims about exposure are exaggerated. Focus should be on fixing the problem, not attacking the press.
That is the dumbest thing i have heard…who cares if they are identifiable, they are minors from an apparent household that is just as bad as themselves. This article clamps down on irresponsiblity on the island, children need education not marijuana.
Behind the tree? That’s not hiding, that’s just intermission before school.
You all too damn one sided…if students at OCS sneeze its in the media….and no I went to ASSS
They publish the bad but never the good that theses students do.
CONCERNED CITIZEN….It seem as if it is your daughter because I cannot see the faces or identify them girls. Maybe you know her by her shape. Go home and scold your child.
Wait you guys so want to say you have news you post this….. these should have been my children I would have had a field day with all parties involved. Let me make it very clear I am not condoning the act of these little girls. However what was done here by the media is unacceptable.
Angry parent I have 1 girl she is 16…And if she is caught in PUBLIC smoking and someone posts her PIC that is her business. She was in PUBLIC. not in the PRIVACY of her home. She was wearing HER UNIFORM. What ASSNESSSSS are you talking about now? Clearly they are GROWN WOMEN because only GROWN WOMEN smoke in PUBLIC in plain public view. It is parents like you who end up with DAMAGED children like these.
I am gonna go to school . But I need to be high . Wanna. Duck behind a trees d get high. Oh dad da da da. I’m so high
Above all u nailed it
This is a total disrespect to the school uniform. I wished Antigua.news saw the faces so we could’ve know the ones who’s doing this. It’s wrong. Our young kids a smoke before, after and during school. This is wrong. Especially in your uniform
If these girls can ignore adults warning them, it means they were never taught respect at home. This is a parenting failure as much as it is a social one.
If teenagers feel bold enough to smoke weed in public at that age, it means the home is lacking serious supervision. Parents must wake up before it’s too late
I have done many things in my school days. We use to smoke paper now they gone to the hard stuff. Sometimes we need to allow our children to learn from their mistakes
People only see the media highlighting the children. But what about the disrespect of the uniform by smoking? That’s the bigger picture her that Angry parents n concerned citizen should be looking at. These girls dud not care even as they were spoken to about what they were doing. Antigua.News expose them fo who they are. They wanted o be in the spotlight S they were on the public doing they thought is good. Give hem their 5 minutes of fame.
Them chicks wild. In their uniforms and all. Hope they get suspended
Someone tell them the school uniform doesn’t come with rolling papers
O boi
