Malachi Toussaint

A 22-year-old man accused of breaking into a Potters home and stealing a vehicle along with electronic items was granted bail when he appeared in court on Monday.

Malachi Toussaint of Green Bay was released on $10,000 bail with $1,000 cash after appearing in court on  charges of House Breaking and Larceny, as well as several traffic-related offenses. Additional bail conditions require him to provide two sureties, report to Grays Farm Police Station, and surrender his travel documents.

The case was adjourned to December 10, 2025.

Police arrested and charged Toussaint over the weekend following investigations into a report of House Breaking and Larceny. He is accused of unlawfully entering a Potters resident’s home sometime between September 6 and September 13, during which he allegedly stole the victim’s motor vehicle along with several electronic items, including a sound system and a 40-inch television.

The arrest came after Toussaint was spotted with the stolen vehicle on Wednesday, September 17. Police intercepted the vehicle and took him into custody. The recovered vehicle has been transported to Police Headquarters for further investigation.

In addition to the House Breaking and Larceny charges, Toussaint faces several traffic-related offenses including driving without a valid Antigua and Barbuda Driver’s License, driving without insurance coverage, driving without the owner’s consent, operating an unlicensed vehicle, and fraudulent use of a license plate.
