A joint police and customs operation has led to the seizure of more than $300,000 worth of cannabis at V.C. Bird International Airport.

Authorities confirmed that the discovery was made on Tuesday during a routine operation in the airport’s cargo shed. Two cardboard boxes containing 52 vacuum-sealed packages of cannabis were intercepted. The haul weighed 52 pounds in total and has an estimated street value of $312,000.

The packages were immediately confiscated and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. No arrests have yet been announced, but investigators say inquiries are ongoing.

In a statement, the Police Administration pledged continued vigilance against narcotics trafficking, warning that the illegal drug trade poses a serious threat to public safety and security. Officials added that collaboration with regional and international partners remains key in stemming the flow of illicit drugs through the Caribbean.

  1. CHUPS. Thus is just another attempt to distract from the current shit storm the police are now facing. Nice try but e nar werk! Solve the burglaries, murders, attempted murders, the elderly being robbed and abused in their own homes, rampant egotistical police having no self control and wreaking havoc on those they’re charged with protecting and serving only then will I be impressed. CHUPS bout some plant the Almighty gave for our healing.
