  1. I my sight there should only be one punishment for crime in Antigua 🇦🇬 death by way of hanging day after you’re sentence and I mean any crime , we would have a safe island and no prison jus a holding facility.

  3. It’s sad to see young men wasting their future like this. At 17 especially, that’s just a child. We need more programs to guide them before they end up in crime.

  4. Glad the third suspect turned himself in. Shows at least a little conscience. Let’s hope the courts deal with this matter properly.

    • When Iwas a child, my cousin, who I believe was driven by poverty, was a bad man who allegedly robbed people and who was even accused of even more heinous crimes. He managed to elude capture for quite some time but eventually the police sent him to meet his maker. It was quite a sad situation and had quite the impact on my grandmother since he had been her favorite nephew. It’s funny how I never felt unsafe because of his alleged crimes. The only thing that scared me back then was pedophiles. This current level of crime is so much more unsettling though. Maybe it’s because, as an adult, I am now more aware of what’s going on, crime is so much more prolific and the media coverage is ever constant. While poverty in my humble opinion, is a major factor in criminality, some offenders just want to take the easy way out. They don’t want to put forth the necessary effort to change their situation. Perhaps the only solution for these types of individuals is three hots and a cot in His Majesty’s prison. At any rate, I just want a peaceful and safe Antigua.

  9. Crime in this country is getting out of hand. Young people throwing away their lives for quick money. Glad to see the police acting swiftly, but we need more prevention, not just arrests.
