Antiguans and Barbudans Urged to Design Official Logo for CHOGM 2026
Nationals of Antigua and Barbuda at home and across the diaspora are being encouraged to participate in a logo design competition that will produce the official emblem for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026, when the twin-island nation hosts the gathering for the first time in its history.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries, launched the CHOGM 2026 Logo Design Competition on September 15th, inviting professional designers, students, and creatives to showcase their talent and contribute to this historic moment of national and international significance.
The winning design will feature prominently on all event communications, signage, merchandise, and digital platforms, symbolizing Antigua and Barbuda’s role as host nation. The grand prize winner will receive EC$5,000 along with official recognition during CHOGM 2026, and their design will be adopted as the official global logo for the event.
The competition is open exclusively to nationals of Antigua and Barbuda, whether residing locally or in the diaspora. Entrants under 18 must include a signed consent letter from a parent or legal guardian. Submissions may be individual or team entries, with a maximum of one entry per participant or team permitted.
Designs must be original and unpublished, reflecting the identity and spirit of Antigua and Barbuda while remaining adaptable for both colour and monochrome use. Submissions must be clear and effective across all formats including print, digital, signage, and merchandise. Accepted formats include Vector files in .AI or .EPS format, plus high-resolution .PNG or .JPG versions. Each entry must be accompanied by a 100 to 150-word concept statement outlining the inspiration and symbolism behind the design.
Entries should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line “CHOGM 2026 Logo Competition” and must include a completed entry form available on the official Government website.
Submissions will be judged on creativity and originality (30%), relevance to CHOGM 2026 and Commonwealth values (30%), visual impact and versatility (20%), and technical quality and adaptability (20%). Finalists may have their shortlisted entries displayed in a national exhibition and featured on official platforms.
The submission deadline is October 13, 2025, with the winner to be announced at a date to be determined. All entries must be original and will become the property of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda. The Government reserves the right to adapt the winning logo for branding and official use, and by submitting, participants grant full usage rights to the Government. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered.

“It’s great to see the government encouraging public participation in creating the official CHOGM 2026 logo. Involving Antiguans and Barbudans gives the event a true local identity.
So only nationals can enter? Why is it limited
“must include a completed entry form available on the official Government website.” what website is that?
