Police are questioning a Cashew Hill man in connection with a shooting incident that unsettled the community on Tuesday night.

According to reports, residents heard what sounded like gunfire around 8 p.m., prompting a swift response from officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department and the Task Force (CIDTF).

Investigators later arrested one man on suspicion of being involved in the incident. Police confirmed that no one was injured, but said the investigation is still ongoing to determine what exactly transpired.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual in the area to come forward. Members of the public can contact the CID at 462-3913 or call 911, and police have assured that all information will be handled confidentially.
