December Trial Date Set for Two Men in 2021 Gray’s Farm Homicide

The wheels of justice are turning in a case that’s been pending since 2021.

Zamir Ogarro and Uroy Joseph will stand trial before Justice Ann Marie Smith on December 3rd for the murder of Arthur James from Gray’s Farm.

The investigation began when James went missing in October 2021. After he was reported missing on October 28th, a joint search team made up of police and Defence Force soldiers combed through St. Phillip’s and Freetown. They recovered what’s believed to be James’s cell phone.

Within 48 hours, searchers found human remains that had been burned inside a vehicle in Freetown. Months passed before DNA testing confirmed in April 2022 that the victim was indeed Arthur James.

The trial begins in just over six weeks.
