Police are searching for the occupants of a silver Toyota RAV4 believed to be involved in a daylight shooting on Monday afternoon in the Golden Grove Extension area.

According to reports, the incident unfolded sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Mount Zion Baptist Drive. The driver of a green Toyota Vitz told investigators he was heading along Golden Grove Hill when he noticed the RAV4 trailing him closely. Moments later, the vehicle reportedly pulled alongside his car, and gunshots rang out.

Miraculously, the driver escaped without injury and drove directly to the Gray’s Farm Police Station, where he filed a report.

Police from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Gray’s Farm Station are now probing the case, working to determine a motive and identify the gunmen.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with information about the suspects or the silver RAV4 to come forward. Members of the public can contact the CID at 462-3913, the Gray’s Farm Police Station at 462-0481, or the Crimestoppers Hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).

Police say no one has yet been arrested, but they are pursuing several leads.

    • So the lie was what exactly? That the shooting didn’t happen where he said it did? You think public cares that he engineered his own danger?

  7. A chilling reminder that violence can erupt anywhere, even under the Caribbean sun. The daylight shooting in Golden Grove Extension underscores the growing boldness of gunmen who no longer fear visibility or consequence. Incidents like these ripple through communities, eroding the sense of safety that binds neighbours together.

  8. I hope people are taking notes of the dangerous world we live in today, vehicles are doing drive by, it’s never safe to do anything in this country. This is why we don’t borrow people’s vehicle and all of that. Opening fire on a vehicle is never a wise and safe thing to do
