CHTA President Sanovnik Destang and Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Tourism Hon. Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez share a warm handshake at the 2025 Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Antigua
The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) has announced that Antigua and Barbuda will once again host the Caribbean Travel Marketplace (CTM), scheduled for May 12–15, 2026.
This marks the 44th edition of the region’s largest tourism forum and follows the success of the 2025 event, underscoring CHTA’s confidence in Antigua and Barbuda’s leadership and capacity to stage world-class events.
CHTA President Sanovnik Destang praised the destination’s “commitment to excellence and regional partnership,” noting that CTM serves as a vital platform for Caribbean suppliers and global buyers to connect, strengthen partnerships, and promote regional tourism growth.
Antigua and Barbuda, recently named the “Caribbean’s Best Meetings and Conference Destination,” has hosted several major gatherings, including the OAS Conference and preparations for CHOGM 2026. Tourism Authority CEO Colin C. James said the event reaffirms the country’s “commitment to the growth of Caribbean tourism” and will showcase its vibrant culture and hospitality.
Marketplace 2026 will feature enhanced venues and accommodation options, as well as continued focus on air connectivity and regional collaboration.
In a gesture of solidarity, CHTA also reaffirmed support for Jamaica and other destinations affected by Hurricane Melissa through its Disaster Response Fund, emphasizing the Caribbean’s unity and shared purpose.

Hosting the Caribbean Travel Marketplace will bring great exposure and opportunities for our people.
