Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne made a plea to world leaders on Thursday during his address to the COP30 Plenary Session, warning that climate inaction is pushing small island states to the brink of extinction.
The Antiguan leader called on major polluters to show “honesty, courage, and urgency” in tackling the worsening climate crisis, urging them to honour past financial commitments and move from pledges to actual payments.

BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO
Strong words and much-needed truth. The world must act now, not when it’s too late for islands like ours.
