The Interact Clubs of St. Joseph’s Academy (SJA) and Christ the King High School (CKHS) put their passion for service into action during World Interact Week, observed from November 3–9, 2025.
With the Rotary ideals of fellowship, leadership, and community spirit guiding their efforts, both clubs hosted a week packed with creative, impactful, and heartwarming activities under the theme Service Above Self.
Interact, the youth arm of Rotary, empowers students aged 12 to 18 to develop leadership skills through community service and teamwork. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Antigua, the SJA and CKHS Interact Clubs have consistently exemplified the power of youth-driven change.
The celebrations began on Monday with a social media campaign encouraging members to share what Interact means to them. Their posts, filled with gratitude and enthusiasm, spread positivity across timelines.

On Tuesday, Interactors showcased their creativity by producing a 30-second public service announcement on diabetes awareness, blending advocacy and education in observance of Diabetes Awareness Month.
Midweek brought moments of mentorship as Interact executives joined the Rotary Club of Antigua’s weekly luncheon at Rotary House. There, they introduced themselves, outlined upcoming projects, and received warm applause and guidance from Rotarians.
Friday saw both clubs joining forces for a tangible act of kindness — the donation of a lunch bench to the Five Islands Primary School. Principal James expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting the difference such gestures make in students’ daily lives.
That same day, CKHS Interactors hosted their annual bake sale to raise funds for Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” campaign. SJA’s bake sale is set for November 10 — because, as members put it, “there’s nothing sweeter than service with purpose.”
Saturday was hands-on and heartfelt: SJA students tackled a deep-cleaning project in their Science Lab, while CKHS members handcrafted flowers and thank-you cards for the staff of the Tabitha Elder Care Home a gesture that brought smiles all around.
The week concluded Sunday with a lively joint social at Rotary House, celebrating fellowship, food, and fun, a fitting end to a week dedicated to doing good.
President of the Rotary Club of Antigua, Elisa Graham, commended the students for their enthusiasm and the positive impact they have made.
“These young leaders continue to inspire us all,” Graham said. “They’ve shown that service can be joyful, meaningful, and contagious.”
From social media advocacy to community outreach, from creative awareness campaigns to simple acts of kindness, Antigua’s Interactors once again proved that when youth unite for service, the result is nothing short of inspiring.
