It’s a disturbing sight on one of Antigua’s busiest tourism routes — a growing pile of garbage lining the road to the Royalton Hotel, turning what should be a welcoming drive for visitors into a public embarrassment and a stark reminder that some residents still aren’t getting the message about keeping the country clean.

Install trail cameras and fine the perpetrator(s).
Seriously, how does this keep happening? Someone needs to take responsibility!
Damn NASTY
Jeez
I mean these ppl are selfless by doing this , what’s that gonna benefit u , I mean Antigua belong to all of us , keep our invironments clean ,litter wardens wake up do your work the government is trying differnt groups organization doing thier part, but u have persons out there just don’t care
I saw the eye sore myself and wondered why they allowed they rubbish to accuulate so much that it spills over into the road
Imagine tourists paying thousands to stay at Royalton and driving past a dump site. That’s not the image we want of our country.
Honestly, fines should be higher and actually enforced. People will stop when it hits their pockets.
This is shameful. That’s one of the main routes tourists take to some of our top hotels we can’t be promoting “365 beaches” with garbage greeting them on the way!
Tourists take photos of everything. Can you imagine this ending up online? “Welcome to Antigua home of the garbage trail.” Embarrassing
