An Antiguan has been chosen for a prestigious scholarship in Barbados.

Antiguan student Resa B. Nelson was named the 2026 Caribbean Rhodes Scholar. Nine other regional finalists were selected but 21-year-old Nelson was successful.

News broke via a local Barbados media house on Tuesday.

Nelson shared her gratitude and appreciation.

She will pursue a Masters in Biology by Research at the University of Oxford.
