Dawn Simon

Relief and gratitude filled the Bolans community on Wednesday after 56-year-old Dawn Anjella Simon, who had been reported missing earlier this week, was found safe and reunited with her family.

Simon, a volunteer soldier with the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF), was located alive and well following several days of intensive searches and public appeals.

Simon had last been seen in the Bolans area on Sunday, November 9, prompting widespread concern among residents and a coordinated search effort by officers attached to the Bolans Police Station and members of the community.

Law enforcement officials expressed appreciation to everyone who assisted with information and search efforts.

Residents in Bolans and across Antigua took to social media to express relief at the news, with many commending the police and Defence Force for their swift response.

Simon’s family has also extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who shared information, offered prayers, or joined in the search.

  1. Why is it that when anyone goes missing whether children or adult and they are found it has never been said where they were found or where they whereabouts were and the reason for them to go missing.

    • It is unfair to the public for not knowing. The same public support they always reach out to for help.

  3. Well thank God she has been found safely. But the authorities need to do better than this. Is there a trait in missing persons so that the public would know where to start searching from?

  6. I guess everyone under here has the same probably! Sometimes I wonder if is these news platforms that hide the whereabouts or the police…. I just find it to be very unfair that we can help spread awareness but can’t know exactly where they were or anything surrounding the disappearance and findings.
