The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission (ABFC) has confirmed that the One Nation Caribbean Music Festival will return to its historic home—the Antigua Recreation Ground (ARG)—following overwhelming feedback from the public.
According to the Commission, the decision was made after weeks of engagement with patrons and key stakeholders, all of whom underscored the cultural significance of hosting the festival at the iconic venue. ABFC officials said the move reflects their ongoing commitment to creating the best possible experience for festivalgoers.
Daryll S. Matthew, Minister of Education, Sports and Creative Industries, emphasized the importance of the event, noting that the One Nation Music Festival remains a beacon of Caribbean unity and cultural celebration.
“This festival is about celebrating our music, our shared Caribbean identity, and our culture, while continuing to position Antigua and Barbuda as a leading entertainment destination,” Matthew said.
Ambassador Elizabeth Makhoul, Chairperson of the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission, echoed this view. She highlighted the vital role of public participation, which she said directly shaped the Commission’s final decision.
“As Executive Producers, our goal is to deliver a world-class festival, and we are excited to bring the event back to the ARG,” Ambassador Makhoul stated. “The public spoke, and we listened.”
The ABFC is expected to announce additional festival details in the coming weeks. The One Nation Caribbean Music Festival has grown into one of the country’s most anticipated entertainment events, attracting both local and regional audiences.

Let’s hope the organizers match the hype. Returning because people asked for it sets a pretty high bar
