The Government is forecasting Antigua and Barbuda’s biggest tourism season in history, with nearly 1.45 million visitors expected.

According to the Throne Speech, delivered by Governor General Sir Rodney Williams, 450,000 overnight visitors are projected, and nearly 1 million cruise passengers are anticipated.

Government highlighted increasing investments in luxury tourism—including Rosewood, Nobu, Marriott at Yeptons, and the Nikki Beach development—as well as the planned rehabilitation of Jolly Beach.

The Tourism Minister Charles Max Fernandez was praised for “strategic thinking,” with the Government asserting that tourism’s success continues to drive national prosperity.
